Greenhouse gases (GHGs) are gases in the atmosphere that absorb and emit radiation within the thermal infrared range. This process is the fundamental cause of the greenhouse effect. Common greenhouse gases in the Earth’s atmosphere include water vapour, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, ozone, and chlorofluorocarbons.

Gross Product Worth (GPW)
Used in the oil and gas sector, Gross Product Worth (GPW) is the value of all refined products which are produced from a barrel (or sometimes tonne) of crude oil.
GPW can be used to assess historic performance. It can also be used to help plan oil refinery operations by reconfiguring processing to maximize estimated GPW.
